Here's a get well card that I made a few weeks ago for my grandmother.
She's doing well, no worries.
She fell and broke her wrist, so I wanted to send a little cheer her way!
I think this is my favorite card I've made so far!

I started with this owl design and tweaked it to my liking
(added the hat, the white in the center, and the heart).
For the banner I used this banner kit.

That's really adorable. I've always wanted to make cards but felt like I really didn't want to invest the time and money to do it. You've just demonstrated that you don't have to do either!! Thanks for posting! I am pinning this and will think about it the next time I need a card. Don't ya just hate paying $3.95 for a card???

I feel the exact same way! I can't stand spending 4-5 dollars for a card that isn't even that personal! Glad you like it!
DeleteI just realized I had the photos restricted on flickr. If you had problems pinning, I just fixed it! :)
DeleteI love that owl!
ReplyDeleteThanks! :)
DeleteCame over from Etcetorize. Darling owl nurse! this would be cute for a graduating nurse card, too. Owls are so popular now!

That's a great idea!
DeleteSo cute! I know everyone is going to say they love the owl, but I really think the little banner is the standout feature. Thanks for sharing at Etcetorize this week!
